I honestly don't even know where to start with Alyson and this Salon! Seriously. I am at a loss because I have never felt so welcomed and at ease in a salon in my entire life. Upon arrival, everyone had huge, genuine smiles, which just had this calming effect and made you feel right at home. There wasn't any awkwardness or feeling of not "belonging" to this salon - you know the feeling you can experience at salons for the first time (or even multiple times). There was such a warmth and positivity. I can't even explain it. No cattiness or anyone being judgmental, not just of me, but of each other, too. I had my own insecurities because I was entering "THE" Ken Paves Salon without any eye makeup on lol. But these girls instantly made those insecurities disappear.
Alyson gave me a tour of the BEAUTIFUL salon - I mean absolutely gorgeous! She then brought me to her stunning room, which was so comfortable and relaxing. She explained the entire process, answered all of my questions, and was extremely thorough in asking me questions as well. I can honestly say that I've never had a beauty professional be so in depth with explaining and questioning. This immediately took away any remaining nervousness that I had because eyelash extensions were a totally new concept to me. Sure, I've heard of them. But I've never had them applied and I've heard so many myths and horror stories. Alyson was even able to clear that up. When I say "she knows her stuff." SHE KNOWS HER STUFF!!!
As the process went on, she explained what she was about to do and the reason behind it. I wasn't caught off guard by anything. I suffer from severe anxiety and claustrophobia and I didn't get anxious, worked up, or feel like I wanted to run away at any point. I'm telling you, this salon is just so peaceful and has such a great energy to it. It is a very different experience from your "typical" salon.
The Salon's Coordinator, Kelsey, came in to speak with me about all of the amazing charity and humanitarian work that the Ken Paves Salons do and I was just blown away. This will be in a separate blog, but this salon is TRULY one of a kind.
When I was done, the remaining stylists were all so friendly, still smiling, and just so sweet. I just wanted to hug everyone and bring them home with me lol. Alyson just radiates this loving, wonderful, incredible-woman vibe and her work is no different. She cares so much, is so passionate, and puts everything she has into what she does. This girl loves life and her career and it shows. She is such a knowledgeable professional with the biggest heart. You really can't ask for more out of a human being. I'm so lucky to have met her and to have had the opportunity to work with her. I really hope that all of you get to have this experience at some point because it is one that I truly will never forget.
Thank you for being you, Alyson. You're a rockstar and deserve so much love and appreciation! You certainly have mine! XOXO!!!
